Srinagar, Oct 8, KDC: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh at Srinagar has directed the execution of a bailable warrant against the Managing Director of the J&K Handloom Development Corporation for failing to appear before the court and for non-production of the relevant record.

Justice Rajesh Sekhri passed the directions while hearing a petition filed by Naseer Ahmad against the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and others, including the Industries and Commerce Department.

The court noted that neither the record had been made available nor respondent No. 2, the Managing Director of the J&K Handloom Development Corporation, appeared in person despite the court’s earlier order dated September 15, 2026.

Taking note of the non-compliance, the court ordered that the presence of the Managing Director be secured through a bailable warrant of arrest for Rs 25,000, to be executed through the concerned Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP).

The matter has been listed for further hearing on October 21, 2026. (KDC)
