Ramban, Oct 04: A man died after falling from the Gangroo-Ramsoo flyover while trying to make his way across the structure amid a traffic jam late Saturday night, reports said.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the man got out of his vehicle during the traffic congestion and attempted to reach the other side of the flyover. He reportedly fell through a gap in the middle of the structure and died at the spot.
The incident took place as traffic remained heavily congested in the Gangroo and Hingni areas following the breakdown of a truck, reports said.
The deceased was later shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities, where he was identified as Hatish Sharma, a resident of Udhampur.
Authorities have initiated an inquiry into the incident, while further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal fall.
