According to officials, the search operations were carried out at residential premises in Budgam and Srinagar, besides Bijbehara and Mattan areas of Anantnag district and a village in Pulwama district.
The searches were conducted by CIK teams in coordination with local police and revenue officials, in the presence of executive magistrates, they said.
Officials said the investigation relates to FIR No. 07/2023 registered at Police Station CIK Srinagar, concerning an alleged module accused of using social media platforms to radicalise and recruit young people into proscribed terrorist organisations.
The case was initiated following intelligence inputs alleging that individuals operating from Pakistan, in coordination with handlers of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and other banned outfits, were using online platforms to target Kashmiri youth, influence them towards militancy and instigate activities against the sovereignty and integrity of the country.
The investigation is focused on identifying the individuals allegedly involved in the network and establishing the extent of its activities, officials said.
Further details regarding the outcome of the searches, including any seizures or detentions, were not immediately available.
