Srinagar, May 19: Sahil Bashir Bhat, State Spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party Jammu & Kashmir, on Tuesday said that “Operation Sindoor” remains an ongoing national mission against terrorism and the infrastructure supporting it.
In a statement, Bhat said Pakistan must understand that India will continue its fight against terrorism until all terrorists and terror masterminds allegedly being sheltered in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied territories are brought to justice.
“Pakistan should remember that Operation Sindoor will continue until the terrorists it has harboured and protected are brought to justice. India has both the resolve and the capability to eliminate every threat to its sovereignty and security,” he said.
Referring to statements made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bhat said India has adopted a zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism under the present leadership.
He quoted the Prime Minister as saying, “India will identify, track and punish every terrorist and their backers,” while reiterating that “terror and talks cannot go together.”
The BJP spokesperson also referred to remarks made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who has maintained that there would be “no mercy for terrorists” and that the government remains committed to uprooting terrorism from every part of the country.
Bhat said the Centre’s anti-terror policy has strengthened national security mechanisms and ensured continued action against terror networks and their supporters.
Referring to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, he said India’s armed forces are fully capable of responding to any threat against the country’s unity and integrity.
He further alleged that Pakistan continues to provide shelter, training, funding and logistical support to terrorist groups responsible for violence in Jammu & Kashmir and other parts of India.
“Pakistan must stop exporting terrorism and hand over all wanted terrorists. If it fails to do so, India will continue to take every necessary measure to protect its citizens and sovereignty,” he said.
Bhat also praised the Indian Armed Forces and intelligence agencies for their role in safeguarding the country and said the people of Jammu & Kashmir stand firmly with the nation in the fight against terrorism.
