Srinagar, Sep 27, KDC: The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly has been summoned to meet in Srinagar on October 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

,“I, Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under Section 18(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019, do hereby summon the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to meet at Srinagar on Thursday, the 23rd October, 2025 at 10.00 a.m,” states an official order issued today by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, a copy of which lies with Kashmir Dot Com.

The Assembly Secretariat, in a notification signed by Secretary Manoj Kumar Pandit, requested all members of the Legislative Assembly to make it convenient to attend the session on the appointed date.

It may be recalled that the UT Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah more than a week ago, recommended convening the Assembly session in Srinagar. The Cabinet also cleared several important proposals relating to public welfare, infrastructure, and administrative reforms, paving the way for their formal discussion and approval during the upcoming session.
