Srinagar, Feb 21: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) J&K UT Council hosted its Annual Session for 2025-26, themed “Aspiring for New Growth Goals,” focusing on economic prosperity and sustainable development in the region.

In a statement, CII J&K highlighted the participation of key dignitaries, including J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as the Chief Guest and Satish Sharma, Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science & Technology, IT, Youth Services & Sports, and ARI & Trainings Departments as the Guest of Honour.

CII J&K Chairman and Executive Director of FIL Industries Pvt. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah commended J&K’s resilient businesses, urging long-term sustainability strategies and external investments for job creation. He called for a genuine single-window clearance system to ease bureaucratic hurdles and encouraged industry feedback for the upcoming budget.

The session reinforced a collective vision for economic growth, industrial transformation, and investment opportunities, solidifying J&K’s position as a key business destination.
