SRINAGAR: The President of the Awami Ittehad Party (AIP), Engineer Rashid tuesday said that he will file a formal complaint against Sajad Lone, the president of the People’s Conference, following Lone’s recent accusations.
Lone had alleged that Rashid had not been in jail for the past two months and suggested that his release was part of a BJP strategy. Rashid, after addressing a rally in Kupwara, rejected these claims vehemently.
“I have spent over five and a half years in jail and have suffered for speaking the truth,” Rashid said. “Those who have lived comfortably and supported RSS are now accusing me of being an agent of the Central Government. These claims are completely false.”
Rashid said that he will file a complaint against Lone for spreading false accusations and damaging his reputation. “I will take this matter to the authorities to ensure that such baseless allegations are addressed,” Rashid added. (KDC)
