SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar on Saturday forecasted the possibility of heavy rain in remote areas of Kashmir between September 2 and 3, with moderate rainfall expected in many other locations.
In addition to the rain, the MeT warned of potential flash floods, landslides, and shooting stones in vulnerable areas. The department also mentioned the likelihood of snowfall in the higher reaches of Kashmir, advising trekkers and tourists to plan accordingly.
However, after September 4, the weather is expected to remain generally calm until September 12, with only brief spells of light rain anticipated on the 6th and 7th of September. (KDC)
