Srinagar, Apr 22, KDC: People’s Democratic Party Youth wing president and Parliament Candidate for Srinagar- Pulwama Constituency Waheed Ur Rehman Parra addressed several public meetings in Srinagar, including Nowgam and Barzulla areas, as part of his campaign trail. The meetings were attended by senior party leader Iqbal Tramboo and State Secretary Abdul Hameed Kosheen.
Addressing the people on this occasion, Parra said, ‘The urge to vote and sentiment towards PDP in Srinagar is a welcome move.’ He emphasized, ‘Our first effort is to encourage the youth of Kashmir to come out and vote in large numbers to bring about positive change in the Valley. Even those who used to boycott until today should come out from their homes.’
Parra highlighted that PDP President Mehbooba Mufti’s main focus in this election is to ensure that people have a voice. ‘Through our door-to-door campaign, we want to give a message to the people of Kashmir that your voice will be heard, your concerns will be brought to the parliament,’ he added.
‘We will raise the concerns and issues of all those young students and youth who are facing charges here. We will pursue their concerns and demands in parliament for their amnesty and rehabilitation so that their cases will be withdrawn,’ Parra assured.
He further remarked, “This is the first time we have seen PDP getting immense love and response from the people of Srinagar towards PDP. This is because of Mehbooba Mufti’s consistent stance and unwavering defense against the onslaughts faced by the people of Jammu & Kashmir.’ Parra concluded by saying,” This sentiment towards PDP is because of that, he added.
