Srinagar, Apr 04: The State Investigation Agency (SIA), Kashmir carried out raids at five locations in central and north Kashmir parts on Tuesday morning as part of its investigation of a militancy funding case registered at SIA.
An official told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com reported that sleuths of the investigating agency with the assistance of the local police and the CRPF carried out raids at five locations. The searches were carried out in the districts of Srinagar, Baramulla and Kupwara, he said.
In Srinagar, the searches were carried out at the residences of two Hurriyat leaders identified as Bilal Ahmad Sidique at Rajbagh and Bashir Molvi at Aloochi-Bagh.
The searches were carried out in a militancy funding case in connection with investigation of case FIR No 22/2022, U/S 13,17,38 and 40 of UA(P) Act, PS CIK/SIA Kashmir.
“The case is currently under investigation with SIA Kashmir to unearth the logistic and funding support channels of terrorism, emanating from Pakistan and its ISI network,” SIA said in a statement, adding that “since the conspiracy is deep rooted and has multi ramifications hence covers wide range of subjects and locations to be scanned and analysed, current searches have been an essential aspect of the investigation to collect relevant and vital evidences for the logical conclusion of the case.”
Obeying the search orders issued by TADA Court Srinagar, sleuths of SIA Kashmir on Tuesday conducted search at five potential locations in the three districts of Kashmir under legal provisions of criminal procedure code, they said adding that, no arrests were made from any the searched locations. Investigation of the case is going on. (KDC)
