Srinagar, June 26 (KDC): Kashmir’s own version of reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ has created buzz on social media with aspiring contestants eagerly waiting for registration lines to go open.

The ANN News — Kashmir’s first and only own 24*7 Tv News channel in its promotional video announced that registration lines would open on 28 June this year at 6 PM.

The title of the reality show is Kaun Banega Lakhpati (Who will be the millionaire). In the game, the contestants are aided by lifelines that one can exercise in case of difficulty in answering the question.

The promotional video of Kashmir’s popular Tv News channel was retweeted by former Director General of Police SP Vaid. He wrote “Valley’s own version of KBL “Who will Be The Millionaire” creates buzz. I’m looking forward to watching the biggest-ever reality programme on ANN News – Kashmir’s First & Only TV channel. My best wishes Tariq!”

Senior Superintendent of Police Imtiyaz Hussain also retweeted the video with text “I am sure many will be.”

Numerous netizens also shared the video with text showing their eagerness to participate as contestants and looking forward to watching the reality show.

The promotional video of the show to be hosted by ANN News Executive Editor Mudasir Yaqoob opens with the lines “how much knowledge do you have? Your knowledge can make you a millionaire. Come on the hot seat, prove your mettle and win lakhs.”

ANN News Editor in Chief Tariq Bhat said that ANN News has received hundreds of calls from people showing much interest to participate and watch.

“We are glad to see the response of our esteemed viewers. There is no upper limit age for any contestant. However, anyone minor (below the age of 18) has to submit a consent certificate duly signed by parents,” he said while responding to a question.

He added that he is sure the show is going to change the life of many contestants, adding: “there is no doubt we have knowledgeable people who can make it to huge winnings in the show.”

Bhat added that reality shows run by national channels are popular in Kashmir particularly among the youth. “Reality as a format appeals and connects well with the youth and ANN News wants to provide opportunities to youth of J&K to be part of these reality shows.”

ANN News Executive Editor and chief to the Board of Directors Mudasir Yaqoob said the entire process for selection of contestants from auditions to hot seats is fair and transparent.

“From start to end, step by step, this all process, there is no human interference and all is done by automated computer system. Rules, transparency and all other related things would also be shown on TV,” he said.

KBL chooses its contestants through an open process, which has various rounds. However, the first round begins with registration which will open from June 28 at 6 pm.

If you want to become a contestant on the life-changing reality show or participate to test your knowledge, follow the steps; the procedure is: register yourself, and be prepared for auditions.

KBL, the Kashmiri game-quiz TV show is based on the programme ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’
