Srinagar, Feb 5: The people in the rest of the country must learn nationalism from the people of Kashmir who upheld the national flag despite all odds during and after 1990, speakers said during a debate in summer capital Srinagar.
The programme titled “Kashmir for and with Tiranga, I am Kashmir” was held at Ghanta Ghar and run live on ANN News.
The speakers said that people of Kashmir have always stood to upheld the values of constitutional values. “We have upheld the national flag when militancy was at its peak. It is always easier for a citizen to unfurl the national flag residing in peaceful parts of the country. But in Kashmir, it was not less than an invitation to death when the militancy was at its peak. But we the people of J&K despite all these imminent threats at that time unfurl our national flag,” they said.
The speakers also negated the propaganda spread by neighboring countries and said that they must stop their evil designs. “We the people of Kashmir have always rejected the propaganda of our neighboring country. If they really want to express solidarity with us, they shall express by stop sending arms and ammunition to Kashmir and by refraining from hatching conspiracies against Kashmir and our country,” they said.
