Srinagar, December 19: A top commander Saifulla Alais Abu Khalid of LeT outfit was killed in a Brief exchange of firing in Dhara Harwan area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district in wee hours on Sunday.
A police offical said that wanted commander of LeT was killed in a Brief gunfight in Harwan area.
Khalid resident of Karachi, Pakistan was active since 2016 and was active in Harwan- Dhara belt, the top cop added.
Earlier, a joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Harwan.
As the joint team of forces intensified searches, the hiding militant fired upon the forces, leading to an brief encounter.
