SRINAGAR, August 04: Chairman DDC Srinagar and Apni Party Senior Leader Malik Aftab on Wednesday visited various areas of district Srinagar including Soiteng, Kondbal, Gandebal and Baghander-Lasjan in order to take the stock of situation at ground zero wherein he interacted with the locals and listened to their pleas.
In a statement issued here, Malik Aftab said that he had scheduled this visit in order to get feedback from the people on grassroots level and listen to their grievances in regards with a myriad of matters concerning their day-to-day lives.
“People, as always, have strong expectations with their elected representatives and DDC Srinagar members are leaving no stone unturned in order to redress their sufferings. My visit to these areas is a part of this local-connect program,” Aftab remarked.
The locals brought various pressing matters into the notice of DDC Chairman Srinagar especially about the dilapidated conditions of roads, erratic electric and water supply alongwith need for upgradation of health centres with regards to staff and availability of doctors.
Malik Aftab assured them that a swift action will be taken in order to resolve the immense problems faced by the local inhabitants of these areas and directed the officials from the Departments of PHE, PDD, R&B and I&FC who were also present on the occasion to diligently pursue their complaints.
