Bandipora, 28 July, KDC: Heavy rains and possibly a cloud burst trigger flash floods in Aloosa Tehsil of North Kashmir’s district Bandipora on Wednesday.
Reports reaching the news agency Kashmir Dot Com, KDC said, many residential houses and roads were partially damaged including a local masjid by flash floods.
They said in the Chachinar area of Aloosa Tehsil the foot bridge was sweeped away and a residential house got partially damaged due to flash floods.
Some paddy fields and orchards were too got damaged due to adequate water on roads, they said,
However, there was no immediate report of any loss of life in the incident.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Owais Ahmad in a tweet said,” Aloosa update: Revenue, Police and Flood control deptt on spot. Damage to two structures, no injury reported. Situation under control and is being closely monitored.
He further said, requesting all to avoid venturing near water bodies especially during these days of rainfall. (KDC)
