Two men killed, girl injured in separate road accidents in Central Kashmir’s Budgam

Srinagar, June 12, KDC: Two men were killed and an 18-yr-old girl was seriously injured on Saturday afternoon in separate road mishaps in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

A police official told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that in two separate road accidents in Budgam district two men were killed and a girl was seriously injured.

He said that an accident took place at Hyderpora near Jamia Masjid between Scorpio bearing registration no-JK01J-7860 and a bicycle. The cyclist identified as Mohammad Ashraf Bhat Son of Ghulam Qadir Bhat, a resident of Nadergund Check Peer-Bagh was injured. He was immediately shifted to Mubarak hospital Hyderpora, where he was referred to SMHS hospital for further treatment; however he succumbed to his injuries at SMHS Hospital in Srinagar.

He further said that in another road mishap in Shamsabad area of Khansahib, a Maruti 800 car bearing registration no JK04C-3956 hit a pedestrian and his daughter leaving both of them critically injured.

Both the injured were identified as Ghulam Ahmad Mir Son of Abdul Ahad Mir and his daughter Humaira Jan were immediately shifted to SDH Khansahab for treatment. However both were referred to SMHS hospital for further treatment, he told KDC.

The official said that Ghulam Ahmad Mir succumbed to his injuries at SHMS.

Police have registered cases in both the accidents and further proceedings have been launched, he added (KDC)
