Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have arrested three persons alleged of being involved in gambling in Khag area in central-Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police official told news agency, Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that upon receipt of specific information of gambling activity in village Hardu Suresh Khag, a team was constituted which raided the venue.
He said that during the raid three persons identified as Abdul Sattar Sheikh, Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh and Mohammad Yasin Sofi residents of Peth Sharen Khag were found playing cards with a stake money of rupees fifty-five hundred. “The packet of playing cards besides the stake money was was recovered and all the thre apprehended from the spot”, the official told KDC.
A case vide FIR number 38/2021 under relevant sections has been registered in this regard and further investigations taken up, he added. (KDC)
