Budgam, May 25, KDC: Security forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Aripanthan village in Central Kashmir’s district Budgam.
Reports reaching news agency KDC said a joint team of the army’s 2RR, SOG Magam cordoned off Aripanthan village and conducted house to house searches there.
Reports said that all entry and exit points towards the area were sealed off by the security forces.
A police officer told KDC that a search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Searches were going on in the area when reports last came in. (KDC)
