Bandipora, Mar 17, KDC: Security forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Ajas Tehsil of North Kashmir Bandipora district on Wednesday morning.
Reports reaching to KDC said a joint team of army and police cordoned off Jan Mohalla Ajas and conducted house to house searches there.
Reports said that all entry and exit points towards the area were sealed off by the security forces.
An Army officer told KDC search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Searches were going on in the area when last reports came in. (KDC)
