Bandipora, Jan 29, KDC: Vice President JKAP and former MLA Bandipora, Usman Majid on Friday while reacting over the incident of a coaching institute in Southern Kashmir’s Kulgam in which students were made to stand bare feet after they reportedly failed to pay the fees, termed the coaching centre’s act as shameful adding that no child should be targeted over the fee dispute.
As per News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC), Usman Majid took to microblogging site twitter and wrote, ” It is a shameful act. It is very unfortunate that such an incident took place. This is really a serious concern and no child should be targeted over fee dispute. Can’t believe that a coaching centre in Pohlu area of Kulgam forced the students to stand bare feet in this bone chilling cold merely for not paying fee.”
Earlier, a purported video of the incident went viral on social networking sites which invited sharp criticism and anger from masses across the valley. However, administration or the in question coaching institute have kept mum so far on the issue as single word or statement have not come from both the quarters. (KDC)
