University, colleges to reopen from February 15 in Kashmir

JAMMU, Jan 27, KDC: All the Universities, Colleges and Polytechnics in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will re-open for formal class work from February 1.

A decision in this regard was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam, official sources said, adding “formal order in this regard will be issued tomorrow”.

When contacted, Commissioner/Secretary Higher Education Department Talat Parvez Rohella confirmed that all the Universities, Colleges and Polytechnics will begin face to face class-work from February 1,  in Jammu division and in Kashmir valley all colleges and universities will be reopened on Feb 15 2021 with strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for COVID-19 precaution.

The SOPs will be clearly defined in the formal order to be issued tomorrow.
