Srinagar, AUGUST 30, KDC: The Punjab Government established Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda (Punjab) will provide a golden opportunity to students of far flung areas of Kashmir with a world class quality technical education along with attractive scholarship schemes and Welfare Schemes of the Center and state government in the premier institute of Punjab Goverment. Punjab Chief Minister Scholarship for Meritorious Students up to 100 percent fee waiver is another big advantage for brilliant students.
This was stated by. MRSPTU, Registrar, Dr. Gurinderpal Singh Brar and Dean Consultancy and Chairman Admissions, Dr. Manjeet Bansal at a press conference held at Srinagar Press Club on Monday.
Dr. Brar said technical education plays a vital role in human resource development of the country by creating skilled manpower, enhancing industrial productivity and improving the quality of life of its people.

He further said University will help the students of Kashmir in realizing dreams in Higher education and studying abroad through various pathway programmes initiated by the premier University. All Central and state government scholarship and welfare schemes are available in the government university, he said.
Giving details about collaborative pathway education program between MRSPTU and Wayne State University (WSU), the VC said a student after studying in the MRSPTU for three years will complete the fourth and fifth-year of study at WSU under 3 plus 2 and 3 plus 1 programme.
After completion of a 4 year course, the MRSPTU student will get B.Tech degree from WSU as well as from MRSPTU, Bathinda. Besides, under a 5 year programme, both B.Tech. and Master’s degrees will be awarded by WSU.
Under its robust international exchange programme, the university has also collaboration with top global universities like Thompson Rivers University (Canada), Synergy University (Russia), other famous foreign Universities for credit transfer study paving the way for opening doors wide open for the brilliant students aspiring to undertake study abroad. Beside strong partnership with prominent corporate and Industrial houses.
