Budgam, Sep 06, KDC: With an aim to boost the fitness level of youth and promoting sports activities in district Budgam a Cricket match tournament was organised by the Dar premier league Ist edition 2022 at Sekhanaw Malpora area of Beerwah in central Kashmir’s Budgam district

Organisers Rayees Dar and Advocate Sajad said “We are witnessing unifying power of sports and personal transformation of youth, who are emerging as wonderful sports players in our society.”

Syed Fayaz Bukhari Chief Guest, renowned Social Activist and Special guest Syed Aijaz Kashani and Social Activist Muzamil Mehmood, local community members, Sports players and a huge number of people participated in the grand final match of Dar premier league Malpora Beerwah.

Fayaz Bukhari while speaking on the occasion said 32 teams from Khanshab and Beerwah participated in it and further said “Only youth has the potential to light up the society and transform several vital matters related to social welfare.”

Muzamil Mehmood while speaking in the tournament said we have a moral responsibility and moral obligation to make sure the young generation has an opportunity to blossom.

Syed Aijaz Kashani said the government of Jammu and Kashmir is formulating policies that engage youth in Sports related process and ensures their participation in on the ground implementation. Young men and women in villages and towns are vibrant partners of the government to achieve the ultimate goal of building a peaceful and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir, he said.

The match was played between Railway 11 Chatbugh and Rising Super Heroes Batpora. Match was won by Railway 11 Chatbugh by 2 wickets.
