Sopore, Aug 09, KDC: Security forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in old town Sopore in north Kashmir’s district Baramulla on Monday afternoon.
Reports reaching Kashmir Dot Com said a joint team of army, SOG and cordoned off old town Sopore and conducted searches there.
Reports said that all entry and exit points towards the area were sealed off by the security forces.
A police officer told KDC that a search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Searches were going on in the area when last reports came in. (KDC)
