Budgam, July 24, KDC: Security forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Cherpora Gatpora Village of Center Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday afternoon.
Reports reaching KDC said a joint team of army’s 2RR, SOG and police cordoned off Cherpora Gatpora Village and conducted house to house searches there.
Reports said that all entry and exit points towards the area were sealed off by the security forces.
A police officer told KDC that a search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Searches were going on in the area when last reports came in. (KDC)
