Srinagar, July 11, KDC: A five-year-old girl was mauled to death by a leopard in Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
An official told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that Nahida Shabir daughter of Shabir Ahmad Dar, a resident of Zazna went missing from the vehicle near orchards at Zazna area of Shadipora in Ganderbal on Sunday evening. A massive search operation was launched in the nearby area by Jammu and Kashmir police along with locals, he said.
He said after the hectic efforts the body of the minor girl was found in the Kondbal area.
She was rushed to CHC Sumbal however doctors declared her dead on arrival.
SSP Ganderbal Suhail Mir confirmed to news agency Kashmir Dot Com that the body of minor girl has been recovered and further investigation is on. (KDC)
