Ganderbal, May 29, KDC: An orphan girl allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Wangath area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com- (KDC) that a 17-year-old orphan girl from Wangath (Name withheld) consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
They said she was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, however, she died on way to the hospital.
The body was handed over to the family for the last rites after all legal formalities, they added.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case and started investigation to ascertain as to what prompted her to take this extreme step. (KDC)
