Budgam, May 28, KDC: An aged man is battling for life at Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura, after he was hit by a sharp object on his head by some of his relatives during a scuffle over a land dispute on Friday in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

The Victims have been identified as 55 years old GH Mohd Bhat son of Ali Mohd Bhat, a resident of Budgam town.

A police official confirmed the incident to the News Agency- Kashmir Dot Com- (KDC) and said that a scuffle took place over some land dispute during which the victim was hit by a sharp object on head by some of his relatives leaving him injured.

He said that “The victim was immediately shifted to district hospital Budgam where he has received all but thirteen stitches and doctors have referred him to SKIMS Soura for further treatment.”

Police have registered an FIR under relevant section of law and the accused has been arrested, he added.(KDC)
