Baramulla 14 Apr (KDC): Srinagar-Baramulla Highway was blocked by protesters on Thursday after several sheep electrocuted due to a live electric line in Palhalan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Locals told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that the incident took place in early morning when around four sheep died after coming into contact with a live electric line, which had detached from a pole.

In the aftermath, the protesters blocked the highway and raised slogans against the Power Development Department (PDD) for their slackness.

However, it was also said that the protesters dispersed with the highway also thrown open for traffic after concerned police went to the spot and assured of action.(KDC)
