Srinagar, Apr 09, KDC: Suspected militants shot at a Territorial Army trooper in Jablipora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.
Sources told News Agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that militants fired upon Territorial Army trooper identified as Mohammed Saleem Akhoon (45), leaving him critically injured. Saleem was serving in the Territorial Army.
They said that Saleem has received multiple bullet wounds in the head and abdomen and was admitted in Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for treatment; however he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, a police official told KDC that the whole area has been cordoned off to nab the fleeing militants and a case has been registered in this regard. (KDC)
