Srinagar, Mar 30, KDC: Second Municipal Councilor who was earlier injured in a militant attack in Sopore area of north-Kashmir’s Baramulla district has succumbed to his injuries, taking the death toll in the attack to three.
An Official told news agency KDC that the deceased councilor identified as Shams-ud-Din Peer was admitted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar, however he succumbed to his injuries on intervening Tuesday night.
Earlier two persons including a Municipal Councilor namely Reyaz Ahmad and a Special Police Officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir Police Shafqat Nazir Khan were killed as militants fired attacked the Municipal Councilors near Lone Building in Sopore, on Monday afternoon. (KDC)
