Srinagar, Mar 10, KDC: A body found on Thursday in a village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district has been identified as that of a missing soldier of Territorial Army, police said.
A police official confirmed to news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that the body of a soldier identified as Sameer Ahmad Malla son of Mohammad Yaqoob Mall, a resident of Lokripora Khag area who went missing on Monday evening was recovered from Labren area of Khan on Thursday.
The officer said that the investigation into the matter is on, details of the incident will be shared later on.
Pertinently, Sameer Malla- a resident of Lokipora in Tehsil Khag of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district was recruited as a driver into J&K’s Territorial Army in 2017.
Police in Srinagar had investigated his role after he allegedly transported Major Leetul Gogoi and a local girl to the Srinagar hotel in his private car back in 2018. (KDC)
