Srinagar, Mar 09, KDC: A gun battle has erupted between security forces and militants in north Kashmir’s Tujjar village, officials said on Tuesday evening.
An official told news agency KDC that on credible input, the operation was launched at Tujar Sopore by Security forces.
According to official, two to three militants are said to be trapped in a house and a cordon has been established.
The forces had launched an operation on Tuesday evening at Tujjar area of Sopore and sealed all routes to prevent the militants from escaping.
Sources said that in the initial gunfire an unidentified militant has been killed so far adding that operation is underway
