Srinagar, Mar 06, KDC: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two non-local residents at the Jawahar Tunnel in Kulgam district of South Kashmir along with country made pistol.
An official told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that two non locals identified as Mohammad Danish Sadeeqi and Naushad, both residents of Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, were travelling in a vehicle when they were intercepted by Kulgam police at the Jawahar Tunnel.
He said that during the search of their vehicle, one pistol, along with 16 rounds, were recovered from their possession.
The duo, Mohammad Danish Sadeeqi and Naushad work at a bakery shop in Soura, Srinagar, and Police are investigating the matter, he added. (KDC)
