SHOPIAN, FEBRUARY 01: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, SB Suse today convened a meeting to review the pace of progress on developmental works taken up under Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP) and Model Village Development Projects in the district.

On the occasion, DDC sought the detailed status of the ongoing developmental works of the Tribal Cluster Model Village including Chaki Mirzapora, Amshipora, Saidpora, Chaki Shamsipora and other works approved under Special Central Assistance to TSP.

He said that TSP is a strategy for the rapid Socio-economic development of Tribal people and forms a part of the annual plan.

Suse said that the funds provided under the Tribal Sub-Plan have to be at least in preparation to the ST population of the district and the funds so far provided should be utilized for execution of works earmarked.

The DDC directed the concerned to provide allocation for TSP on voluntary basis and added that since it is a demand driven progress, the requirement of funds and employment generation will depend on demand for works from the job card holders.

He urged the concerned officers to expedite the pace of works being executed under TSP and emphasized the need for continuous monitoring to maintain quality of works so that the projects under TSP can be completed within stipulated time

Among others, Assistant Director Planning, Chief Sheep Husbandry Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Ex. Engineers of PDD, PHE and other officers and officials attended the meeting.
