Srinagar, November 2, KDC: The Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court has directed the University of Kashmir and other respondents to permit a group of BALLB students to appear in their seventh-semester examinations, subject to the fulfilment of specified conditions.

Justice Sanjay Dhar passed the directions on Monday while hearing a petition filed by Mohsin Mushtaq and others against the University of Kashmir and other respondents.

The Court directed respondents No. 1 to 4 to allow the petitioners to sit in the seventh-semester BALLB examination, provided that the Registration Returns (RR) of the petitioners have been submitted by respondent No. 5 to the University and there is no other legal impediment to their appearing in the examination.

The Court also issued notice to the respondents, subject to the petitioners taking the necessary steps for service within one week.

The matter has been listed for further consideration on November 25, 2026. (KDC)
