Srinagar, June 25, KDC: The District Administration Kishtwar has placed a revenue official under suspension pending an inquiry into allegations of misuse of official resources and sending anonymous complaints under fictitious identities to allegedly malign fellow officers and disrupt administrative functioning.

According to an order issued by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pankaj Kumar Sharma, JKAS, a copy of which is in possession of Kashmir Dot Com, Uzair Talib, Patwari, presently posted as Office Patwari in the Tehsil Office Kishtwar and deployed in the Personal Section of the Deputy Commissioner, has been placed under suspension with immediate effect.

The order said that the action has been taken pending an inquiry into alleged misconduct involving the misuse of official resources, including the use of a Closed User Group (CUG) SIM card issued in his name for sending anonymous and pseudonymous complaints through an email account operating under fictitious identities.

The administration has alleged that the official’s actions were aimed at maligning the reputation of officers and officials and disrupting administrative discipline.

Pending completion of the inquiry, the suspended official has been attached to the office of the Tehsildar Bunjwah. The order further directs that he shall not leave the designated headquarters without prior permission from the competent authority.

Officials said the suspension will remain in force pending the outcome of the departmental inquiry. Further action, if any, will be determined based on the findings of the investigation. (KDC)
