Srinagar, Apr 7: Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters has appointed SSP SIA Kashmir, Tahir Ashraf Bhatti, as the Enquiry Officer to conduct a fact-finding inquiry into the alleged involvement of SI Zakir Hussain.
According to an official order, the appointment follows the transfer of IPS officer Ms Divya from J&K to Puducherry. Bhatti will conduct the inquiry in place of a departmental probe earlier proposed.
The Enquiry Officer has been directed to submit findings within 15 days. The order has been issued with the approval of the competent authority. (KDC)
