Srinagar, Mar 31, KDC: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has issued a clarification dismissing as misleading the claims circulating on social media regarding an alleged paper leak in the Fire Services recruitment examination.
According to an official statement, certain platforms, particularly a handle named “J&K Services Selection Board Aspirants,” have been spreading claims that the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has confirmed a paper leak and that action has been taken against only 106 candidates.
“These claims are misleading and not based on officially established facts,” the statement said as per Kashmir Dot Com.
It clarified that the ACB has not confirmed any paper leak at this stage and that the matter is still under investigation.
“The investigation is ongoing and no final conclusions have been drawn by the competent authorities. Any claim presenting the matter as a confirmed finding is premature and inaccurate,” the statement said.
The statement further explained that identification of candidates is part of a dynamic investigative process.
“Actions such as cancellation of candidature or other administrative measures are taken strictly on the basis of prima facie evidence available at a given stage and in accordance with due legal procedures,” it added.
It emphasised that such actions should not be interpreted as the investigation being limited or excluding further findings.
Advising caution, the government urged aspirants and the public not to rely on unverified or partial information circulating on social media.
“Official updates and verified communications from competent authorities should be treated as the only authentic source of information,” the statement said.
The clarification has been issued in public interest. (KDC)
