Srinagar, Mar 2, KDC: Authorities on Monday said that restrictions will remain in force across parts of Kashmir on Tuesday as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that the decision has been taken to prevent any untoward incident and to ensure peace in view of the prevailing situation.
They said adequate security arrangements have been put in place in sensitive areas, and forces have been directed to maintain heightened vigil. Movement in certain areas may remain regulated, while gatherings could be restricted as per the existing directions.
The administration has appealed to the public to cooperate with the authorities and maintain calm, assuring that the measures are preventive in nature and aimed solely at maintaining peace and stability. (KDC)
