New Delhi, Mar 01: Amid the evolving developments in West Asia, the Government of India (GoI) on Sunday issued an advisory for foreign nationals currently staying in the country, assuring them of full support regarding visa extensions and stay-related issues.

In a statement, the Ministry said that foreign visitors whose travel arrangements have been affected by the prevailing situation in the region may approach the nearest Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for necessary assistance.

“All foreign nationals in India who have been compelled to alter their travel plans owing to the ongoing situation in West Asia and require help in extending their visa or regularising their stay are advised to get in touch with the concerned FRRO,” the advisory noted.

The government further informed that the respective FRROs will help complete all required procedures. Details of FRRO offices are available on the official website of the Bureau of Immigration.
