Srinagar, Jan 04, KDC: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Sunday issued a major cadre management reshuffle involving IAS and IPS officers of the AGMUT cadre, ordering transfers and fresh postings with immediate effect. The rebalancing exercise, carried out as part of routine administrative rotation, has resulted in the reassignment of several senior officers out of Jammu and Kashmir, while new inductions to the Union Territory have also been approved and communicated to the J&K administration for implementation.

Among the officers transferred out of Jammu and Kashmir are IAS officers Saloni Rai of the 2016 batch and Syed Abid Rashid Shah of the 2012 batch, both of whom have been reassigned from the Union Territory. The Ministry has also ordered the transfer of Santosh D. Vaidya of the 1998 IAS batch and Niraj Kumar of the 2010 batch to Delhi, while Syed Abid Rashid Shah has been further posted to Chandigarh in a subsequent administrative order. Baseer Ul Haq Chaudhary of the 2015 batch has been transferred to Ladakh, forming part of the same rotation process.

Simultaneously, the Ministry cleared fresh postings of senior IAS and IPS officers to Jammu and Kashmir from different segments of the cadre. The incoming IAS officers include Ashwani Kumar of the 1992 batch, R. Alice Vaz of the 2005 batch, Anjali Sehrawat of the 2013 batch, and Kumar Abhishek of the 2016 batch, all of whom have been transferred from Delhi to J&K. Akriti Sagar of the 2016 batch has been posted from Arunachal Pradesh, while Sagar D. Dattatray of the 2014 batch has been reassigned from the DNH & DD segment of the cadre to Jammu and Kashmir. In the IPS category, Prashant Priya Gautam of the 2013 batch has also been posted to Jammu and Kashmir from Delhi under the same MHA order.

The Ministry reiterated that the transfers and postings form part of standard cadre rotation and management practices undertaken periodically for administrative requirements. All orders have been formally relayed to the Jammu and Kashmir administration for compliance, deployment, and further necessary action. The reshuffle has taken effect immediately, the official order stated. (KDC)
