Srinagar, Dec 13 (KDC): The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday detained over 150 overground workers (OGWs) allegedly linked to proscribed terror outfits, including Jaish-e-Mohammad, during a city-wide action in Srinagar, sources said.
They told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that the over ground workers were called to their respective police stations across the city and detained for further questioning. The detentions were carried out by teams from local police units and other security wings as part of preventive and intelligence-based measures.
Police sources said the questioning is aimed at verifying inputs related to terror support networks, including logistical and facilitation roles. The detained persons are being examined at different police stations across Srinagar, and no arrests have been formally announced so far. (KDC)
