Srinagar, Nov 26, KDC: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a Faridabad resident for allegedly providing safe shelter and support to terrorist Umar Un Nabi in the days leading up to the November 10 suicide car bombing near the Red Fort in New Delhi.
According to officials, the accused, identified as Soyab, a resident of Dhauj in Faridabad, is the seventh person taken into custody as part of the ongoing probe into the high-profile terror attack that claimed several lives and left many injured.
Initial findings by the NIA suggest that Soyab assisted Umar Un Nabi by arranging accommodation and extending logistical help, enabling him to move and operate ahead of the explosion outside the historic monument.
The NIA has already apprehended six alleged associates of the bomber in connection with case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI, as investigators continue to trace the wider network suspected to have facilitated the attack.
Searches and raids are being carried out in several states with the support of local police units as the agency works to piece together the full conspiracy behind the deadly incident.
Efforts are underway to identify remaining suspects and establish the entire chain of events that led to the Red Fort suicide bombing, officials added. (KDC)
