Pulwama, April 10 (KDC): Marking another milestone in its journey, Kashmir’s popular restaurant chain Zero Miles – Grill & Cafe has launched its 7th outlet at City Square Mall, Murran Chowk, near District Hospital Pulwama.
The new franchise spearheaded by two young entrepreneurs — Syed Saaqib Yousuf, a B.Tech Mechanical Engineer from Dusoo Pampore, and Gazanfar Bashir, an M.Sc. Physics graduate from Krenchoo Pampore.
“This is not just a business venture, it’s a commitment to bringing quality dining experiences to our own hometown,” said the franchise partners in a joint statement. “We are excited to be part of a brand that resonates with Kashmir’s evolving food culture.”
The inauguration ceremony witnessed participation from a broad spectrum of attendees, including the parents of the franchise partners, franchise holders from other locations, local businessmen, and dignitaries. The event showcased the collaborative spirit behind the brand’s steady rise.
“This new outlet is a significant step forward in our vision to take Zero Miles to every major town of Kashmir,” said Jibran Khan, founder of Zero Miles and a native of Bandipora. “Our focus remains on consistency, quality, and a local-first approach to hospitality.”
Javid Ahmad Mahroo, Chief Operating Officer of Zero Miles, said the broader mission behind the brand: “Our aim is to provide not only exceptional food but a memorable experience that reflects Kashmiri warmth and culture. Every outlet we open is a step toward strengthening local communities and creating job opportunities.”
Currently employing over 80 individuals across its outlets, Zero Miles – Grill & Cafe has emerged as both a culinary trendsetter and a contributor to local employment. Plans are underway to expand the chain further, with new outlets expected in Magam, Shopian, and Awantipora within the year, the statement said.
“Zero Miles is not just a place to eat; it’s becoming a space where people connect, celebrate, and create memories,” said one of the attending dignitaries. “Their expansion is a positive sign for Kashmir’s entrepreneurial spirit.” (KDC)
