Srinagar, Feb 19, KDC: A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), headed by a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), carried out a search operation on Tuesday morning in Damhal Khoshipora, area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag.

Reliable sources told Kashmir Dot Com that a raid was conducted at the residence of Muzaffar Ahmad Wani alias Sarfaraz Wani, son of Gul Mohammad Wani. Wani was earlier arrested by Bihar Police in connection with FIR No. 229/2024 registered at Police Station East Champaran, Motihari.

They said that the case involves multiple sections, including 317(4), 318(4), 61(2), 338, 337(3), 340(2), 111, 1178, 179, 180, 181, and 3/5 of the Bihar National Security (BNS) Act.

Following his arrest, the case was transferred to the NIA, which has now registered it under case number 17/24/NIA/DLI.

Officials said the raid was part of an ongoing investigation into suspected ‘criminal activities’ linked to Wani. However, further details on the findings of the search remain undisclosed. (KDC)
