SRINAGAR: Rehmati Begum, the mother of former SKIMS Director Dr. A.G. Ahanger, passed away this morning at SKIMS Soura after a brief illness.
She was later laid to rest in her native village of Midora Tral, where people from all walks of life participated in her Nimaz-e-Janaza.
The demise of Rehmati Begum has been widely condoled, with bureaucrats, politicians, business leaders, journalists, and others expressing their heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family.
Thousands of mourners thronged the family’s residence to offer their condolences and share their grief.
The family has informed that condolences will be observed for three days, and the Chaharum will take place on Sunday.
The staff of News Agency Kashmir Dot Com and Kashmir Leader magazine have also extended their deepest condolences to Dr. A.G. Ahanger and his family during this difficult time.
