SRINAGAR: In a major crackdown against Drug trafficking and Narcotics-related crimes, Anantnag Police have attached Five residential houses and three vehicles, collectively valued at ₹4.3 crores, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This decisive action as per police is part of ongoing efforts to combat the drug menace in the region.
Among the properties seized, five residential houses were attached in connection with individuals involved in narcotics activities. Reyaz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Hassanpora Tawella, had his single-story house attached by Bijbehara Police due to his involvement in multiple NDPS cases. Mohammad Yousuf Reshi, linked to a major narcotics recovery case, also had his double-story house attached. Another single-story house belonging to Subzar Ahmad Mir, from Hassanpora Tawella, was seized, along with a double-story property of Mohammad Shafi Dar from Tulkhan Bijbehara, both for their involvement in drug-related activities. Abdul Hamid Chopan, a habitual offender from Malpora Ranipora, saw his residential house, valued at ₹30 lakhs, attached by Achabal Police.
In addition to the properties, three vehicles were also seized. A Santro car (JK02B-6823) registered to Mohammad Shafi Dar, a WagonR (HR28C-9580) owned by Manzoor Ahmad Mantoo of Waghama Bijbehara, and a Toyota Corolla (HR51AL-0505) registered to Rahul Singh of New Delhi were all attached as part of the crackdown.
