Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the relief of Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Higher Education Department, effective October 10, 2024.
“In pursuance of the approval of the Competent Authority for the premature repatriation of Shri Alok Kumar, IRS (IT:1990), the officer is hereby relieved from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to enable him to rejoin his parent cadre.” reads the order issued by the government in this regard.
Kumar, an IAS officer of the 1984 batch from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre, was assigned additional responsibilities as the Administrative Secretary of the School Education Department in June 2024. He is now being relieved to rejoin his parent cadre. (KDC)
