Srinagar, August 9, KDC: The Electric Division-II, Sub Division Chanapora, has successfully upgraded the high-loss Feeder 1 at the Receiving Station in Chanapora in Srinagar, enhancing the power reliability for the Nowgam area. This upgrade is part of the centrally sponsored Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).

As per the officials, Feeder 1 had been experiencing significant energy losses, affecting the power supply in the Nowgam area. The team from Electric Division-II undertook a comprehensive overhaul, which included complete cabling of the feeder and the installation of new transformers. Additionally, LTAB (Low Tension Aerial Bunched) cabling works were executed to improve efficiency and reduce losses.

This project aims to stabilize and improve the reliability of the power supply in the area. The local community has praised the successful implementation of these upgrades, recognizing the efforts of the Electric Division-II team in modernizing the power distribution network.

The upgrades to Feeder 1 are expected to significantly reduce energy losses and provide a more stable power supply to the Nowgam area, highlighting the effectiveness of the RDSS in enhancing infrastructure and services. (KDC)
